“Three things for your journey forward”
Written by Dr. Jay Arthur Linn
It has been a year since the pandemic hit, and a lot has changed. Some people like change and others do not, but for everyone change brings about the opportunity for new beginnings and the chance to set new goals and create new dreams. As we move forward in this unprecedented time, I suggest three main things for your journey forward. First, work on your RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. Set time aside every day to read, meditate, and acknowledge God. This will keep you focused and on track no matter what comes your way. It will also give you peace and comfort in the midst of uncertainty. Second, BE KIND to one another and yourself. These are stressful times and it is easy to get angry or upset. It takes more work to be calm, encouraging, and considerate. A smile and kind words go a long way, and you will find that they are not only beneficial to others but also to you. Also, take time for yourself to recharge and refresh, so that you can have a positive outlook on life. Third, BE GRATEFUL. We can choose to focus on what is going wrong in our society or be grateful for what we have. If the pandemic has not taught us anything, it should have taught us that life is short and great change can happen rapidly. We need to be grateful for the many things that we have in our life today. Doing these three things changes our focus from negative to positive and helps us to create a better future.
